The dee Clarke Justice Fellowship (dCJF) is an introduction for
individuals age 18+ to develop skills in research, policy, and
community engagement. Fellows will work with the Permanent
Commission to design and implement a project of your
choosing that will contribute to positive change for BIPOC
communities in Maine.
DURING THE PROGRAM FELLOWS WILL:
Attend individual and group trainings
Connect and learn with mentors, community leaders,
and peers
Work on real projects to impact change in Maine
Get involved in racial justice, anti-racism, and systems
change work

The digital communications specialist is an integral part of the Communications and External Affairs division. In this role, you will work collaboratively across the organization to integrate digital communications initiatives into a coordinated multimedia strategy. This includes providing day-to-day digital support that may include maintenance, content development, and analytics reporting for CSG Justice Center social media accounts, emails/newsletters, and websites.
The Center on Gender and Extreme Sentencing, a project of the Center for Transformative Action, is seeking two people who are formerly incarcerated to serve as our inaugural Fellows for our Future Freedoms Fellowship. Specifically, we seek to hire two part-time Fellows who have a lived personal experience with the criminal legal system and an interest in social justice advocacy. Those who have not been formerly incarcerated are not qualified for the position. Each Fellow will work together with a team to develop a legal toolkit for incarcerated women.

This is an innovative opportunity, through Proposition 47 grant funds, to leverage your lived experience in the criminal legal system (youth or adult), Substance Use Disorder, or a person who is unhoused. Read: a criminal history is a requirement for being a credible messenger and is highly valued for this project.
Location is Ventura County, CA, and the project will work out of the misdemeanor courtroom in the Ventura County Hall of Justice. Peer Navigators will collaborate frequently with Public Defenders, DA’s, Superior Court personnel, and law enforcement. Details here.
